curl software package provides Get a file from an HTTP, HTTPS or FTP server, you can install in your Ubuntu 12.04 LTS (Precise Pangolin) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install curl
curl is installed in your system.
Make ensure the curl package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep curl *
You will get with curl package name, version, architecture and description in a table
